As a team, we are committed to sustainability and have successfully reduced our carbon footprint by 15% over the past year. Our shift to sustainable packaging has also significantly decreased our reliance on single-use plastics.

Sandea is deeply passionate about supporting community development efforts by creating solutions to answer developmental needs in areas such as Tanzania, Pakistan and beyond.

Our story

Sandea was founded by Sanjeet Manek in 2019. He came to the UK from Tanzania as a student and after graduating from Royal Holloway University, he went on to pursue a career in investment banking. Thirteen years later, Covid-19 hit, and Sanjay left his job in search for a new purpose. That’s when Sandea was born.

With a family background in trading, and his experience working in investment banking, wholesale seemed a perfect skill match. Since then, Sanjeet has opened X warehouses and built a brilliant, diverse team that strives to achieve a dominant presence in the wholesale space, ethically and responsibly. In just 3 years, Sandea won Wholesale/Distributor of the Year at the Asian Food and Restaurant Awards.

Sanjeet also received the Rising Star award at the House of Commons for his contributions to the British Asian community & for exemplary leadership in the FMCG sector.
